Integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) in fire investigations presents a groundbreaking opportunity to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and ethical integrity. Automated evidence processing, digital forensic analysis, and fire scene reconstruction enable fire investigators to handle cases more effectively while reducing human errors. By adopting advanced data analysis and pattern recognition, AI aids in identifying fire origins, predicting fire behaviours, and reconstructing fire scenes with high precision. Additionally, the philosophical principles of Heraclitus provide a framework for ensuring ethical AI implementation, emphasizing adaptability, transparency, and balance between mechanisation and human oversight. A global perspective, particularly China’s advancements in AI-driven fire risk assessment, highlights the growing role of AI in fire safety and emergency response. This paper explores how AI can revolutionize fire investigations while upholding ethical and integrity standards.
