Job Opportunity: The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) is inviting applications for the role of:
Crime Scene Examiner – Temporary
Job Code: GMG/SEG 3/Band 9
Location: Headquarters
Contract Type: Temporary
Salary: JMD $5,198,035 – $6,990,779 per annum + allowances

Job Summary:The successful candidates will be responsible for evaluating crime scenes, documenting, collecting, preserving, and analysing physical evidence. Duties include preparing detailed reports, reconstructing incident scenes, and testifying in court.
Key Responsibilities include:
Managing and analysing incident scenes
Documenting and photographing injuries and scenes
Creating 2D/3D models using CAD software (SketchUp, FaroCrimeZone)
Attending post-mortems, collecting forensic evidence
Performing digital forensic extractions
Bloodstain pattern analysis and crime scene reconstruction
Maintaining chain of custody for all exhibits
Providing expert court testimony
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
BSc in Natural Sciences, Forensic Science, or Chemistry
3+ years of experience in crime scene examination
Certification in crime scene examinations is an asset
Required Knowledge:
Forensic science principles and techniques
Biological, chemical, and ballistic evidence handling
Criminal law and evidence handling procedures
Computer software for digital forensics
Familiarity with INDECOM Act and related legislation
Skills & Attributes:

Effective time management and planning
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
High integrity and professionalism
