Modern forensic investigations increasingly demand an integrated, multidisciplinary framework that extends beyond traditional evidence-collection practices. This presentation introduces a holistic approach to crime scene management and investigation, emphasizing the coordinated interaction between scientific methodology, investigative strategy, human factors, and legal considerations to enhance evidential integrity and judicial outcomes. Crime scenes are dynamic environments where physical evidence, environmental conditions, investigative decision-making, and interagency collaboration converge. Failures in communication, scene security, documentation, or evidence handling can compromise investigations and weaken courtroom testimony. The holistic model integrates crime scene preservation, forensic science application, investigative intelligence, risk assessment, and quality assurance principles into a unified operational framework. The presentation explores key components including systematic scene assessment, structured command hierarchy, interdisciplinary collaboration among investigators and forensic specialists, contamination control, digital documentation technologies, and evidence continuity management. Attention is given to the role of human performance factors—such as cognitive bias, stress management, and professional communication—in influencing investigative outcomes. Case-based examples demonstrate that adopting a holistic framework improves reconstruction accuracy, strengthens evidentiary reliability, and supports expert witness testimony in legal proceedings. The approach also aligns with international best practices in forensic governance, accreditation standards, and modern crime scene management protocols. Ultimately, this research advocates a paradigm shift from isolated procedural tasks to integrated investigative thinking, with crime scene management serving as the central nexus linking forensic science, investigative reasoning, and the justice system. The holistic model aims to improve investigative efficiency, reduce evidentiary errors, enhance courtroom defensibility, and promote higher standards of professional practice in contemporary forensic investigations.
